Dog Homeless For Over Six Years Continues To Wait For A Family

For over six years, a lovely “Lab fusion” has been waiting for a family to come along and find her worthy of their love. Chip is in the care of Heavenly Angels Animal Rescue in New York – she has been with the non-profit agency since the time that her original owner decided to give her up.

In September 2016, the rescue group explained how Chip lost her original home:

Her original owner abandoned Chip because she had allergies. Chip is a gem and adores humans. CHIP loves giving affection, and will stand on her two hind legs to give hugs and kisses.

Why, you may wonder, is a dog who adores giving hugs and kisses still waiting to be adopted? Unfortunately, Chip is in need of a home with no other pets. The stipulation that she be a solo pet has caused her to be passed by, time and again.

Those who love Chip have implored potential adopters to give this pretty gal a chance. The rescue agency highlighted Chip’s many attributes, “She is such an amazing dog. We love her to pieces. She knows sit, paw, and stay. This is great because she is eager to learn, and is very motivated by treats.” The group added, “we are mystified and heart broken that she rarely gets any interest or inquiries.”

In early March, the Facebook page, Adopt a Cuddle Bear, promoted Chip on the page – and revealed that this lovely dog is not only homeless after all these years, but also, living in boarding.

Chip is safe and she is receiving the basic necessities to keep her healthy, but she is not receiving the one-on-one love and attention that a dog gets to enjoy in a home, with a family.

Somewhere out there is a special someone who is the perfect match for Chip – the trick is finding that person. Networking is a powerful tool – please help Chip find her person by sharing her adoption information.
