Florida Rescues Wish For Filled Stockings And Fantastic Furever Homes

Simon at Mr. Mo Project

A group of Central Florida animal rescues have joined forces this holiday season, and are hoping some of you will be able to send some cheer their way.  If you click on this link you’ll find the “Sponsor-A-Pet Holiday Project”, with a slew of animals and organizations keeping their paws crossed that you’ll reach deep and make a large impact on one small life.

These are the rescues taking part in the event, with the links to each group:

These rescues have all taken in animals with varying issues, dogs and cats whom no one was adopting and simply had nowhere to go but the shelter or the street, including Mr. Mo’s Simon, featured above!

Some pets had been thrown from cars and injured.  Others, neglected by their owners. Dogs were brought into homes, but left untrained and unsocialized by their owners, who blamed them for their unwanted behavior.  Skin allergies need treatment, and many potential adopters just don’t want to deal with the additional cost.  Others lost their family when their owners lost their homes.  Some are young puppies from unwanted litters.

The Sponsor-A-Holiday Pet Project gives you a way to donate directly to the animal of your choice!  These rescues are extremely transparent; they are willing to give you any information you require regarding the medical treatment for any of their animals, and, more importantly, would love to find them new homes!

Donations to these organizations are tax-deductible. Please share their stories, and help however you can!

Would gladly adopt . However I live in Illinois. If this would be possible please let me know and let me know the adoption cost. I would love to give an animal a loving home.

Thanks Rachelle – have you looked into any rescues in your area? I’m sure there are breed specific as well as mixed breed ones! I don’t think the FL rescues are equipped to transport to Chicago…
