Generous Tip To Vegan Food Truck Paid Forward In Donation To Animal Rescue

Last week, a generous soul left an unusually large tip in the tip jar for Kind Kravings, a vegan food truck which operates in Wichita, Kansas. Owners Rochelle Kollins and Shea West were stunned when they discovered an extra $500 last Thursday.

In fact, their initial thought was that a mistake had been made, reported the Wichita Eagle. But it wasn’t a mistake – it was an act of kindness by someone who didn’t even make their identity known.

The Kind Kravings tip jar is rather awesome on its own…people who leave a tip are made aware that the food truck has a “pay it forward” policy. Money left in the tip jar is donated to an animal rescue agency.

True to their word, Kind Kravings took the $500 tip to an area rescue group, Beauties and Beasts Inc. On July 17, the non-profit group which received the funds expressed their gratitude:

The wonderful people at Kind Kravings received a generous tip from a customer for their awesome service, and they selflessly decided to pass it on to the Beauties! From sweet Dory and the rest of us, THANK YOU for your huge donation of $500!!! We couldn’t do what we do without generous support like yours!

Everything about this situation inspires a warm feeling of appreciation – from the person who was kind enough to leave the generous tip, to the selfless business owners who hold a pay-it-forward attitude.

Of little surprise, the Kind Kravings business owners consider themselves simply a means to an end – they commended the animal rescue group which received the donation:

“This whole situation has been such a feel good experience. We are very grateful for all the love from everyone. Truly the appreciation goes to Beauties and Beasts for their labor of love they pour into the rescued animals, and the generosity of the person who gifted so much money which equates to their time and labor. We were just the middle man that wanted to spread the love, but we adore you all for such amazing responses.”

Kudos to those who spread a little kindness!
