Shelter Alumni Dogs To Wed In November

Shelter Alumni Dogs to Wed

Something big is planned on November 4 – something special, unique and downright fun. Martin and Molly, alumni dogs from the Glendale Humane Society, are going to get married at The Chapel at P I R C H in Glendale, California.

While the bride and groom may not be the “typical” participants of a wedding ceremony, everything leading up to the big day is amazingly traditional.

“Molly,” the bride-to-be, had an official proposal which was recounted on the Facebook page created for Martin and Molly’s wedding:

When Martin proposed I felt like the luckiest girl on earth!! It was a beautiful day in Montrose Shopping Park Association, just the two of us. We had stopped into Oceanview Restaurant for a treat, when suddenly, Martin got down in a play bow and popped the question! Of course, I said YES!!

Molly embarked quest to find the perfect bridal gown…

Cakes were tasted (Assortment of treats from The Dog Bakery).

And there were even bachelor and bachelorette parties!

No stone has been left unturned in the wedding plans…there is even a gift registry, which in fact, may be the most important aspect of the upcoming nuptials.  You see, Martin and Molly’s wedding is benefiting the Glendale Humane Society.

Martin and Molly’s gift wishes are outlined on the registry:

What we’re most wishing for is to see our friends at Glendale Humane Society, those still waiting for their forever homes, be provided the supplies they need! Please help us help those still in rescue at the shelter.

All of the gifts, and wedding proceeds, will directly benefit the Glendale Humane Society, and the homeless animals who are anxiously awaiting their own happily-ever-after.
